Family Support
Please know that you can approach any member of the team at West Newcastle Academy at any point. Class teachers will always respond to an email within 24 hours and so will our Senior Leadership Team.
We are lucky to have members of the team who are native speakers in:
- Arabic
- Kurdish
- Romanian
- Urdu
- Spanish
We can also arrange interpeters if required.
We understand that that nurturing the triangle of trust is central to your child's success and we can always create a space to have sensitive conversations if you are needing support with your child.
Ways to Well Being Workshops
These workshops are for parents/carers (no children, please) who want to learn more
about their child's mental health and emotional wellbeing, and explore helpful strategies
for support. Paula Hamilton is the Ways to Wellbeing Project Coordinator and delivers the workshops on behalf of the Communities Team at Children North East.
Our group is growing so please be brave and try to attend one of the next workshops.
